Vote Chori’s Brazilian Model Reacts To Her Picture

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s vote chori claims went to Brazil. He alleged that in 2024 Haryana Assembly elections about 25 lakh votes were fake. As evidence he showed a photograph and claimed the woman in it voted 22 times at 10 different booths under different names as Seema, Sweety, Rashmi, Saraswati etc. He claimed that the photo was of an Brazilian model identified as Larissa.

Rahul’s Gandhi’s claims led massive searches of the model and arrised steer controversy. The photo Rahul Gandhi showed appeared to be a stock image credited to Brazilian photographer Matheus Ferrero and the woman identified is Larissa Nery.

Larissa reacts to her photo being circulated and put up a video online in Portugese stating she was surprised and somewhat amused that a photo of her was being used in this Indian political controversy-“Is this my old picture”, “So crazy”, she said. She claimed that the picture being shown in Gandhi’s presser is of her when she was “about 20-years-old.” She later reposted screenshots showing her video being circulated on ‘X’ to her Instagram story. “They are using a photo of mine to run, I don’t know if it’s an election, something where you have to vote. And in India, they are portraying me as an Indian woman to scam others, folks.” Clearly stunned by the attention, Larissa added that reporters had started calling her after the controversy surfaced. “Oh my god, how crazy. What madness is this, what world are we living in,” she said, adding that a journalist had even contacted the salon where she works.
