Three minor sisters jumped from the ninth floor of their residential building in Ghaziabad in todays early hours allegedly after their parents’ objection to their online gaming addiction, According to the Ghaziabad police, the deceased sisters were all teenagers the siblings were found lying near the building after local residents heard a loud noise and alerted authorities.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead. of their residential building in Ghaziabad in todays early hours allegedly after their parents’ objection to their online gaming addiction.
Atul Kumar Singh, ACP, Shalimar Garden, Ghaziabad, said they received information about the incident at around 2.15 am police team reached the spot and conducted an investigation. The incident occurred in a tower of Bharat City under the Teela Mor Police station in Sahibabad area.
Initially It was believed that the suicide of the three sisters was linked to an unidentified Korean task-based gaming app. However, police sources, speaking to India Today TV, later ruled out a gaming angle and said the victims had expressed love for Korean culture and entertainment in their diary.
Police sources also said that the parents, who are not financially well off, had objected to their daughters watching such content and had taken away their phones, a step that is believed to have prompted the girls to take the extreme step. The Bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination the police further stated.
