Digital Desk, August 9: The State Government is keen to resolve Assam-Mizoram border disputes in Aizawl today. According to the inputs, a delegation leaves for Mizoram today. The delegation comprises many dignitaries including Atul Bora, Border Protection and Development Minister, Ashok Singhal, Guwahati Development Department and Irrigation Minister and senior officials of the state government. The talks will be held at Aizawl Club at 2.30 pm.
The talks will be headed by Lalchamliana, Home Minister, Mizoram and Atul Bora. The delegation will leave for Guwahati tomorrow. Commenting on the matter, Atul Bora stated, ”After Arunachal Pradesh, a chief ministerial-level talk was held at Namsai. The 12 regional committees that have been informed by both states will now visit the disputed areas. As border resolution with Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh is on the right track, the Assam Government has now shifted its focus towards Mizoram.”
