Digital Desk, May 4: President Ram Nath Kovind attends the 61st annual conference of Bodo Sahitya Sabha in Kachubari, Tamulpur today. According to a statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan said that President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Assam and Mizoram from May 3 to 6. He will also attend the North East Festival at Guwahati. Notably, the festival will be organised as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ by the Ministry of DoNER (Development of North Eastern Region).
President will address the 16th convocation of Mizoram University at Aizawl on May 5. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on microblogging site Twitter, ”Honoured to welcome Hon President Ram Nath Kovind Ji along with Hon Governor Jagadish Mukhi. The hon’ble President will attend the Bodo Sahitya Sabha which is working to promote the Bodo language & literature.” It is noteworthy that The Bodo Sahitya Sabha was founded in the year 1952.
