Delivering verdict on the Sena vs Sena case, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar on Wednesday declared the faction led by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde as the “real Shiv Sena” and refused to disqualify any member from both the factions. The Speaker further added that Uddhav Thackeray being the Shiv Sena President doesn’t hold the decision making power.
In June 2022, the conflict happened when former CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena joined the Maha Vikas Aghadi government along with opposition party Congress and Nationalist Congress Party 2019.
