Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the ICC Champion Trophy 2025 due to a lower back injury that he sustained in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The injury to Jasprit Bumrah has meant that he will be missing his 2nd ICC event, having not played the T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022. The Indian cricket team will begin their ICC Champions Trophy Campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh. In Jasprit Bumrah’s absence, Harshit Rana has been called into the squad. On the other hand, Varun Chakravathy’s good form has seen him replace Yashasvi Jaiswal in the Indian Cricket team. Mohammed Siraj, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be the non travelling reserves in case a player of the Indian Cricket team suffers an injury.
