‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ Attracts Massive Crowd On Its 3 Day In Gohpur

As Assam BJP begins its election campaign Jan Ashirwad Yatra on Saturday, The campaign enters its third day aiming to reach one lakh people in every district of Assam. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma flagged off the Yatra from the historic Gupteshwar Temple at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district.

The campaign will be carried out for a period of 10 days where the BJP chief and its party leaders aim to reach out every constituency of the state in an outreach programme seeking to connect directly with voters and highlight the BJP government’s development initiatives ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

The yatra witnessed massive crowds on its second day  from Jagiroad to Morigaon where Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the crowd. He stated that the people of the state have pledged to bring the BJP-led alliance to power yet again.

“I’m sure that we’ll get the blessings of all sections of people of the state. I assure the people of the state that in the coming five years, we’ll work four times more on developmental work than we did in the past five years so as to make Assam one of the best states in the country,” he said.

And also highlighted the government’s efforts to restore and redevelop the historic Batadrava Than, the birthplace of Srimanta Sankardev, as part of broader cultural preservation initiatives. Minister Pijush Hazarika and BJP MLA Rama Kanta Dewri, along with many leaders, were also seen participating in the yatra.

Today the yatra resumed to Gohpur where the scene and atmosphere is historic, crowed of various ages engaged in attending the yatra. Womenfolk take the lead role in the Gohpur where young and old women voters showed their love and affection to the Chief Minister, who also requested the crowd to give his government retain its power in the upcoming 2026 state election.

The response seems to be fruitful and hopeful as the present government has done numerous schemes  that benefit the women in the state. An endless chain of crowds can be seen throughout the road hoping to get a glimpse of their favorite ministers.

A BJP campaign song that played along the rally kept the supporters in their toe, where floral tribute and gifts awaited the minister to approach and receive from the public. This campaigned yatra will be carried out till 9 march where it will be travelling the entire district of the state Assam.
