J & K (India) , July 23 : The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday shoots down a Pakistani drone in the Kanachak sector of Akhnoor in Jammu around 6 kilometers inside the Indian border.
Police has regained 5 kg of Improved Explosive Device (IED) which was to be operated by the terrorists, police said.
This is not the single time that a drone has been detected in Jammu or near any International Borders. Considering the twin blasts at the Jammu airbase on June 27, various drones were marked in the previous month on numerous positions in Jammu, elevating hazard of a drone attack.
Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh recently instructed officers to be more persistent in their awareness as terror outfits are constantly attempting to use drones for terrorist activities.
