Digital Desk, August 10: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched NEDFi (North Eastern Development Finance Corporation) Micro Lending Scheme on August 9. Regarding this, Sarma said, ”NEDFi is playing an important role in empowering our region and its people. I hope the NEDFi Micro Lending Scheme with loan size upto Rs 2 lakh per beneficiary will help micro enterpreneurs in setting up and expanding their economic activities an Assam and other parts of North-east.”
Himanta Biswa Sarma made an announcement of contribution of Rs 100 Crore towards Micro Lending Scheme by the State Government. He also congratulated the financial institution setting up industrial projects. Many dignitaries including PVSLN Murty, NEDFi Chairman and Managing Director, NEDFi, SK Baruah, Executive Director, NEDFi were present at the event.
