A historic win of ABVP In the recent concluded university election in Punjab, numerous voters as many as 16,000 registered turns out to cast their vote despite unfavorable weather. ABVP won the post of president for the first time ever since in the university election since 1977. ABVP the student wings of BJP secure its victory after 48 years. Gaurav Veer Sohal, a research scholar from law department won the presidential post with a margin vote of 448 against an opponent Sumit Kumar who secured the closes vote of 2660 against 3148 votes to Sohal. This victory scripts a new page for ABVP because, the post of president was never won ever despite a win over other post in the past election. Ashmeet Singh (SATH) won the post of Vice-President defeating Naveen Kumar with a margin of 650 votes. Abhishek Dagar (SOPU) emerge victory for the post of General Secretary with a margin vote of 722 against Vishesh Anand Dhaka. A shocking victory Mohit Maderana an independent candidate secured the post of joint secretary by defeating Aryan Verman (Yuvi) with a margin vote of 318.
Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jankar congratulate the ABVP “ABVP has scripted history by winning the election for presidentship of Punjab University students council for the first time in 48 years.
