Srinagar (J&K), August 15 : Inspector General of Police (IGP), Vijay Kumar (Kashmir zone) on Sunday says that Jammu and Kashmir has been celebrating the 75th Independence Day without restrictions on internet and mobile services. This is for the first time in three years that the valley sees uninterrupted internet services.

Even though security forces have been assigned in full strength at sensitive places in Kashmir, there are no restrictions on the movement of people over Srinagar and other parts of the valley on Sunday.

Internet services remained unaffected last in 2018 during Governor N N Vohra’s tenure. It was on August 15, 2005 that the valley witnessed IED blast outside Bakshi Stadium triggered in mobile phone by terrorists.
