CAA to be implemented across the nation : Union Minister Shantanu Thakur

Union Minister Shantanu Thakur on 28 January at a public rally in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas affirmed that the Citizenship (Amendment) Act would be put into effect nationwide within the next seven days after the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodha. The BJP MP had also mentioned, ”Not just in West Bengal, the CAA would be implemented in every state of India.’’

”As CAA is the law of the land, nobody can stop from its implementation,’’ stated by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He had also charged West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee of deceiving the public on the subject on December 27, 2023. Furthermore, he said it was the BJP’s commitment to execute the CAA.

Persecuted Non-Muslim migrants from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan who arrived in India before December 31, 2014,  including Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis and Christians to be granted Indian nationality under the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act introduced under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
