A Fisherman Shot Dead Along The India-Bangladesh Border; Locals Blammed The BSF

Digital Desk, August 25: A fisherman from South Salmara, Assam was killed along the India-Bangladesh border. The fisherman was allegedly shot by BSF personnel, however, they have not admitted it yet. It is being told that the fisherman was walked out for fishing in Gudoli village. The incident took place near Gudoli village on August 24.

He was later identified as Maniruzzman. As per the reports, the BSF personnel suspected him to be a smuggler. Commenting on the matter, Saifur Ali, Deuty Superintendent of Police, South Salmara (border) stated in front of media, ”The injured fisherman collapsed and died on the way back to his home.”
