New Delhi , July 25 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on his 79th edition of the monthly radio programme “Mann Ki Baat” urges the fellow citizens of India to salute the warriors of Kargil on July 26 as the country will acknowledge Kargil Vijay Diwas.
“Kargil War is a symbol of valour and discipline of our armed forces which the entire world has witnessed. I would like you to read the thrilling story of Kargil on Kargil Vijay Diwas. Let us salute the brave hearts of Kargil”, the Prime Minister further said. He then added that the day will be celebrated as ‘Amrut Mahotsav’ . That’s why it becomes even more special .
The Prime Minister then pleases to all the countrymen to take part in the events which will mark the 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2021.
Amrut Mahotsav marked as a “people’s movement” by the Government of India , will be headed by a national implementation committee directed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The country will be honoring the 22nd Anniversary of the ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ .
