Digital Desk, August 13: Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, DGP, Assam stated ahead of Independence Day, ”The Independence Day boycott call from ULFA-I is nothing new. The people of Assam want to celebrate Independence Day in a peaceful manner.”
Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has inspected Veterinary College Ground on August 11. 75th Independence Day will be celebrated centrally in the playground.
It may be noted that Assam Police has arrested 23 jihadis since March 2022. Regarding this, DGP further added that Assam Police would make all arrangements to make Independence Day celebration peaceful and incident-free.
