Digital Desk, July 18: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Chief Minister’s Institutional Plantation Programme on July 17 at Janata Bhawan, Guwahati. Moreover, he said, ”The State Forest Department must commission drone surveys in all reserve forest areas every six months.” It may be noted that the State Government plans to plant saplings in 80,000 government offices started from July 17 to August 15.
Meanwhile, Nandita Garlosa, Minister for Power, Mines and Minerals wrote on microblogging site Twitter in this regard, ”The environment stress has always been less focused by all. Today, with the motive of helping the healing of our environment, we are grateful to CM, @himantabiswasarma for launching the Chief Minister’s Institutional Plantation Programme.
