President Droupadi Murmu Honours NSS Award 2025 Winners In New Delhi

The National Service Schemes (NSS) award 2025 ceremony took place in new Delhi, Netaji Sobhas University Of Technology (NSTU), with 30 volunteers and 10 program officers, where president Droupadi Murmu honored NSS volunteers, programmer officers, and universities for their great work in social service and community development. The NSS awards recognizes the efforts of young students who activities across India. These volunteers help in areas like health awareness, cleanness, environmental protection, education, and disasters relief.  During the event, president Murmu praised the dedication and spirit of the youth. She encouraged them to keep working for the progress of society and the nation. The president also said that, NSS helps in shaping responsible and caring citizens.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Labor & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse graced the awards ceremony. Secretary, Youth Affairs, Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil and Secretary, Sports, Shri Hari Ranjan Rao and senior officers of the Ministry and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. This year, the award winners were chosen from colleges and universities across the country. Their service has inspired many more students to join NSS and take part in social work. As of now the NSS counts around 40 lake (4 million) volunteers across the country the awards also include monetary prizes; Each NSS unit gets 20 lakh for program development, plus a trophy. NSS volunteer award carries 1,00,000, along with certificate and silver medal.
