Amidst the union minister, Ajay Kumar Mishra said that the rules of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be framed by on Mach 2024, Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament, Santanu Sen charged a counter that it is political gimmick, BJP started again their tricks for next Lok Shobha Election 2024.
Speaking to news agency PTI, ANI, the TMC MP said that BJP uses CAA as their political tool for getting political benefits. The saffron party only remembers Matuas and the CAA only during election. They will never be able to roll out CAA in West Bengal.
He further added that BJP was rejected by our people in the Civic poll that was held early this year in West Bengal. Nowadays the people know their tricks. They think that CAA is a thorn for the BJP. They did not even mention CAA in Assam during the 2021 assembly because at that time most of the assumes against this law, but raised it in Bengal hoping to capture votes.
Mamata Banerjee has said several times that Bengal doesn’t need CAA because those have been casing their votes, owning properties and having jobs for decades are already citizens. They don’t need fresh citizenship certificates from the centre. Santanu Sen, TMC MP, added.
