New Delhi, August 3 : Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacts with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri – Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in Gujarat via video conferencing and tells them that the government is making every possible effort to provide help to the citizens during the coronavirus pandemic.
While speaking to the beneficiaries, the PM says that free ration has helped minimize the worries of poor during pandemic since it has been distributed to lakhs of families of the scheme.
Under PM-GKAY, additional foodgrain of 5 kg per person is given to all the receivers covered under National Food Security Act. To strengthen food security for migrant beneficiaries to a greater extent, the ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ has been implemented so far.
