New Delhi, August 2 : India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday has foreseen that the potency of the thunderstorm with light to moderate rain would take place over the adjoining areas of Delhi, Faridabad, Gurugram, Greater Noida, Dadri, Meerut and Ghaziabad.
The Delhi administration has accelerated efforts to move people out living along the Yamuna bank as the water level crossed the danger mark due to heavy rains.
Formerly, the Old Yamuna Bridge – ‘Loha Pul’ was also ceased for public usage due to the increasing water level. One of the residents said while speaking to ANI , “The dangerous level of water has caused waterlogging in the houses and fields so as a precautionary measure, the government has shifted the people to the upper side.”
